Learn Quran Tafsir Online
Learn Tafsir online by exploring the meanings of the words in the Holy Quran. This course will help you understand Allah’s commands and teachings. It is designed to give you a general understanding of the Quran’s messages, not to turn you into a scholar. The focus is on grasping the guidance and commands of Allah (S.W.T.).
Tafsir is a key field in understanding the Quran, as it helps explain the teachings of Islam and how to apply them correctly in daily life. Without Tafsir, it would be hard to fully understand the Quran’s meanings.
Tafsir helps explain the outer meanings of the Quran, while Tawil refers to its deeper, hidden meanings. Some scholars believe there is no difference between the two.
To understand Tafsir, a scholar (Mufassir) should:
- Have a sound belief (Aqida)
- Be well-versed in Arabic
- Be knowledgeable in related Islamic sciences
- Be able to understand deeply
- Avoid personal opinions
- Start with the Quran itself when explaining
- Seek guidance from the Prophet’s words and actions
- Refer to the companions of the Prophet (Sahaba)
- Consider the views of later scholars (Tabi’un)
- Consult the opinions of other respected scholars
This Tafsir course is for adults. We are also planning a course for children soon. Our goal is to help students understand the Quranic verses that contain Allah’s commands for humanity. We hope to offer group classes for women in the near future, In-sha-Allah.
